Television’s favourite 12-year-old makes the jump to the big screen in ‘The Wild Thornberrys Movie’.

From the Plains of the Serengeti in Africa, to an English boarding school, Eliza Thornberry (Chabert) is about to embark on an epic adventure.
This globetrotting young lady is the daughter of Nigel and Marianne Thornberry (Tim Curry & Jodi Carlisle) the famous wildlife documentary makers. Alongside her parents, her sister Debbie (Danielle Harris) and her adopted “wildboy” brother Donnie (Flea from rock group The Red Hot Chili Peppers), Eliza travels the world recording the lives of various wild animals.
However Eliza has an amazing secret. Thanks to a witch doctor, she can talk to animals, but her power will disappear if she ever reveals it to anyone. Only her best friend, Darwin the chimp (Tom Kane), knows her secret and together they have many adventures with the animals she can happily converse with.

In this adventure, Eliza comes face-to-face with a group of evil poachers who are endangering the lives of the wild creatures that she cares so much for. The greedy poachers descend upon the jungles of Africa and Eliza must make one of the biggest decisions of her life, as she becomes the key to the fate of the entire Thornberry clan together with her extended family of animals. With time running out, she stands to lose the two things that mean the most to her - the ability to talk with animals and her life traveling around the world - and somehow Eliza must try to find a way to save the ones she loves.
Created by the makers of the “Rugrats”, this cartoon feature is based on the hit TV series “The Wild Thornberrys”, and explores the characters in much more depth. As well as all of the shows regular cast, the film also features the voices of Brenda Blethyn, Rupert Everett, Lynn Redgrave, Marisa Tomei and Alfre Woodard.
