Kate
Hudson stars in this heart-warming comedy as Helen Harris, a very successful
modelling agent who spends most of her time going to the glitziest of fashion
shows during the day and exclusive clubs at night. Her life is turned upside-down,
however, when she receives a phone call telling her that her sister and
brother-in law have died in a car accident, leaving her to look after her
nieces and nephews, 15-year-old Audrey, 10-year-old Henry, and 5-year-old
Sarah. Helen struggles to maintain her wild party-going ways whilst also
acting as responsible mother and soon finds that her dream career and lifestyle
are slipping away from her, despite the advice she receives from her older
sister, Jenny (Cusack). |
Before
long, however, helps is at hand in the form of Dan Parker (Corbett), the
young local pastor and principal of the kids’ new school. Dan immediately
falls for Helen, and it seems that, with the kids, they could start a wonderful
new life together. All Helen has to do is decide whether or not she is ready
to give up the fun, carefree life that she has always wanted, and accept
a role as responsible and committed grown-up. |
