In this sky-high adventure comedy, Pluto Nash, an audacious nightclub owner played by the always-hilarious Eddie Murphy, is definitely in deep trouble.
The mafia are trying to make him sell his precious nightclub and are threatening all kinds of retribution if he does not sell it to them Sounds fairly normal so far? Well think again
This is the year 2087 and Pluto (Murphy) is living on the moon.
This is a world where you can take your partner shopping on your anniversary and instead of buying them a whole new outfit you can buy them a whole new body In Pluto's world it is perfectly normal to have a robot (Mohr) as a best friend and companion. Pluto is friendly with the rich and famous and socializes with an up-and-coming pop star, Dina Lake (Dawson), but all their glamour and influence cannot stop the local heavies from insisting that he sell his club What's a boy to do? He could ask his mad gun-wielding mother (Pam Grier) for help, if it didn't embarrass him so much
This is an excellent adventure from start to finish, be prepared to enjoy the special effects, the locations And of course Eddie Murphy who brings his usual 'murphyness' to the film, and who helps ensure that, this is not a film to be taken too seriously.
Pure popcorn fun.
