This December comes the third instalment of Marvel comics’ ‘Blade’. The Daywalker (played by Wesley Snipes) is a half-mortal, half-immortal bent on destroying the vampire race in this world. As part-vampire he is dependent, like his enemies, on blood, but his life’s work is dedicated to stopping them at every turn. In the first movie we saw him fighting against the vampire gods; in the second (‘Blade: Bloodhunt’), he battled with their demons. This third outing is set to bring forth the biggest challenge he has ever faced, and one that he won’t be able to face alone . . . |
Blade returns to our screens with a new foe to fight. The vampire nation, his sworn enemy, have hatched a plan to frame Blade for a series of brutal murders: they want him out of their way once and for all. What’s more, they are getting ready to launch their ultimate attack on the human race – the vampire Final Solution.
To have any chance of defeating this new threat, Blade is going to need some help. As well as his old friend Whistler (Kristofferson) he is going to have to team up with the Nightstalkers, a group of human vampire hunters who go underground in search of their enemy. Most prominent from this group are Hannibal (Reynolds) a man with an intimate knowledge of the vampire world, and Abigail (Biel), who turns out to be Whistler’s daughter . . . |
