| Amelie
(Tautou) is shy young woman living in the Montmartre area of Paris, who
takes her pleasure from the simple things in life. On the night of August
13th 1997, she decides that she will dedicate herself to straightening out
other people lives The people upon whose lives she leaves her mark include
the local grocer, a lonely painter with a debilitating disease and the guy
who works at the video shop. And as she, with her own sense of justice,
helps those around her, she discovers love along the way... Jeunet's 'Amelie'
is a charming French film full of the whimsy, with a fairytale quality and
