Charlie
Kaufman (Cage) is having problems adapting “The Orchid Thief”,
a non-fiction book about an orchid breeder, John Laroche (Cooper). On the
surface, the book is about Laroche's adventures in the Florida Everglades,
but it's also about the desire to experience passion, a longing Charlie
shares.Charlie’s twin brother, Donald (also Cage) makes things worse when he moves in with Charlie and announces he's going to be a screenwriter too, And then suddenly Charlie is inspired to battle his severe case of writer's block in a very clever way.
