Actor, writer & director Christopher Guest directs and stars in this hilarious tale of folk music in America. Not your average type of folk though, this is of the “eclectified” variety. This legacy of music was left behind by Irving Steinbloom and now it’s time for a reunion with a variety of lively musicians ready to raise the roof for one night only in New York City’s Town Hall. Three groups reunite to share the music that almost made them famous and A Mighty Wind will blow you away. It isn’t a high-budget film, but it delivers high-quality amusement. You get tickled throughout, especially when the reunions occur, with many hilarious stories shared. This is no new-year blockbuster but it’s a whirlwind of fun and well worth a watch.
